Surf Boat Competition Eligibility Update

Recently the SLSA Surf Sport Advisory Committee (SAC) discussed a paper presented by Nick Sampson, ASRL President and Surf Boat Advisor to the SAC, in relation to the date when a member can train and compete in a surf boat. Previously the date specified is as at 30 September in any one year. The recommendation was that the date of eligibility be amended to their birthdate.

The SAC and SLSA Board both endorsed the recommendation for the changes to Policy 1.02.

The following changes come into effect immediately for 2022/23 Season: Section 4 of SLSA Policy 1.02- Use of SLSA Equipment and the SLSA Surf Sports Manual (to be amended as follows):
