ASRL Newsletter – Sept 2024

Welcome to this edition of our newsletter! We’re excited to share updates on upcoming events, including the NTSE & Short Course at Ocean Beach. You’ll find information about our new event calendar, recent rule changes aimed at increasing participation, and highlights from our recent Sweeps Camp. Events Update:

• NTSE & Short Course & ASRL Mixed Crews Venue Announcement Dec 6-8^th Ocean Beach. 
• ASRL Open Venue and Date reminder –  Includes this bit here as well:
  • The NAVY will again be our Major Sponsor for the 2024 ASRL Open. We look forward to seeing most states host their NAVY rounds and thank the NAVY for their support, which is crucial for the future of our sport.
• Our website now links every states calendar where possible. To keep up to date with what’s happening around the country head to Event Calendar – Australian Surf Rowers League – ASRL. These calendars will update automatically as the states update them.
• The event team has been working hard on securing event locations for this season and the future seasons. We are committed to delivering a 3 year event calendar to give our athletes, officials and supporters plenty of time to plan for these events.

We are pleased to announce the locations for the ASRL Open have been confirmed:

• 2025 Feb 13^th-16^th Coffs Harbour, NSW
• 2026 Wanda, NSW
• 2027 Woologoolga, NSW

The dates for 2026 & 2027 will be confirmed when SLSA have set the dates for Aussies.
