As we know with the Aussies in Perth a lot of pressure will fall onto the ASRL Open to provide the best event we can. This season we are at Elouera beach on Friday 16 to Sunday 18 Feburary.

Your DRAFT program is attached and will be updated as required but the basic timetables we will be trying to stick with.

Important Notes That Should be read by All Competitors:

Facebook and the ASRL Phone App plus ASRL Website with be used to provide updated information

All times listed are the planned program times but being surf please be ready for change if conditions dictate

All crews in all divisions will automatically be checked in for racing unless you withdraw your crew on the Wednesday prior. If you plan to withdraw you must do so prior to the event so by 7pm Wed 14 Feb. If you don’t tell us your withdrawing you will be responsible for mucking up the draw and will be costing all other crews valuable race time on the beach as the Officials have to re-work the draws.

To remove your crew from the draw please advise be email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or SMS the details to 0417 362686

Draws will be pre done and posted on the ASRL Phone App prior to racing on Friday so late drop outs will greatly affect our ability to produce slick end results for you as everybody will be left sitting around waiting for draws to be re-done

Area splits will be posted on the ASRL Website by Thursday

Open Male & Female crews should be on the beach ready to race by 10.30pm on Sat but if conditions dictate differently be aware that you could be shifted forward to earlier in the day

It is hoped to have a warmup area available so crews can do warmups without any stoppage or disruption to the racing program but note we are on a busy Sydney beach under the guidance of Lifeguards

The tight program is providing every crew a minimum of 4 or 5 rows and to achieve this it allows us to stop for no one. If you’re not on the line the Starter will be instructed to start the race and you either catch up or miss the race

All crews should be aware that the referee will have the ability to change the program to suit conditions and will endeavour to provide as much forward notice as possible should a change be required. This information will be available on the Message Section of the ASRL Phone App plus the Navy/ASRL Facebook page and the ASRL Website

Numbers quoted for cuts etc are based on the entry numbers and may change if final numbers differ at the call of the Referee
